About Monroe Community Mental Health Authority
Monroe Community Mental Health Authority primarily provides mental health services
to Medicaid recipients and to adults and children without any insurance who are
chronically mentally ill, developmentally disabled or who have a severe emotional
disturbance. There are also some private insurance companies that CMH provides
outpatient psychiatric services for on a contractual basis.
For problems and concerns that are less chronic or severe in nature, there are
other service providers in the community that may be available to help a child
or family address their needs. When speaking with an Access worker, they will
assist you in finding a referral to another agency if Monroe CMH is not the
best provider for the services you need or is not covered by your insurance.
