Child and Family Services
Monroe Community Mental Health Authority (MCMHA) is certified by the Michigan Department of
Community Health as a Children’s Diagnostic and Treatment Services Agency for children
diagnosed with severe emotional or behavioral disturbances and is accredited by the Joint
Commission on Health Care Organizations as a mental health and substance abuse treatment
facility. In addition, all of our treating clinicians are licensed or credentialed with the
state and receive a minimum of 24 additional hours per year of training specific to the
treatment of children and families to ensure the highest quality of care is available.
The goal for all of our treatment services in the Child and Family department at Monroe
Community Mental Health is to empower children and families through clinical excellence and
a strength based approach to develop positive skills, resources and relationships that will
help them to achieve their goals and enrich their lives. The services described here are
designed to help us partner with children and families to achieve this vision.
