LIP - Child/Adult Psychiatrist

Job Description: Working with a clinical team serving children and adolescents with SED or DD along with adults with MI or DD. Services that are to be provided include medication reviews, psychiatric evaluations and working with an electronic clinical record
Job Qualifications: Michigan Board Certified (Preferred) or Board Eligible Child / Adult Psychiatrist. Position is a contractual position with the Psychiatrist being credentialed through the Provider Relations Unit of the Washtenaw Community Health Organization.
Salary: $120.00 per contractual hour, 24 hours per week beginning May 1, 2009.

Practice Setting: MCMHA is located in Monroe County, Michigan at 1001 South Raisinville Road, Monroe, MI 48161. MCMHA borders the State of Ohio with Toledo, OH 30 mins to the south; with Detroit, MI being 45 mins to the north east; and with Ann Arbor, MI being 45 mins to the north west.
Wraparound Facilitator

Facilitate Wraparound Team meetings and provide flexible home-based services to children and families. Provide training and consultation to community professionals and consumers about the Wraparound process, develop and link Wraparound families with informal resources in Monroe County. Works with the family and the Monroe Case Coordination Team (CCT) to establish a Child and Family Team consisting of the family and major professional and nonprofessional people important to the child and family. Helps the Team to individualize the Wraparound Plan and budget to meet child and family needs based upon the unique strengths, values, norms and preferences of the child and family. Presents to the MWI Case Coordination Team (CCT) Wraparound Plan & Budgets which reviews same to ensure that they are family focused, strengths based, and cost effective. Works with families and staff in supporting each family’s goals by linking and coordinating additional services such as in or out-of-home respite, assistance with implementing behavioral treatment plans, and community living supports. In addition, will provide case management services to MCMHA primary consumers as assigned. Responsible to the Wraparound Supervisor.
Education, Training and Licensing Credentials:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology. Michigan licensure as a LBSW or TLLP or LLP. 1-2 years experience with evaluation and treatment of children and families in outreach or community based programs. Experience with the Wraparound process preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide the appropriate care for the specific clinical needs and ages of the individuals served. Demonstrated knowledge of the clinical needs, symptoms, and behaviors of individuals served, as well as understanding the principles of growth and development over the life span; have the ability to assess data reflecting each individual’s requirements in relation to his/her age-specific/population specific needs; to provide the care needed by the appropriate age group (child, adolescent and adult).
Nurse (RN)

The primary purpose of this position is responsible to provide nursing services on a Prescriber/Registered Nurse medical team in conjunction with organization committees, managers and staff. This includes brief history and assessment prior to medication reviews and psychiatric evaluations. Accountable for implementing Medication Management program standards and policies, program satisfaction review and implementation. Provides services to the MI Adult or DD Clinical Teams, including nursing assessments, OBRA assessments, other nursing trainings, as designated by the Administrative Nurse Practitioner.
Education, Training and Licensing Credentials:
Registered Nurse with requisite licensure by the State of Michigan and education equivalent to a four year degree preferred. Experience in diagnosis and treatment of individuals with mental illness and persons with developmental disabilities required. Experience with multi-disciplinary treatment teams required. Computer skills required. Experienced in reviewing and analyzing electronic data preferred. Ability to work with a wide variety of professional staff and other agencies in an outcome data based manner is an integral part of the job responsibilities.
