Services for Developmentally Disabled
The Developmental Disabilities Department serves individuals with
a primary diagnosis of a developmental disability including intellectual disabilities,
autism spectrum disorders, and a range of neurological and physical disabilities.
Services
Our Department offers a variety of services and supports designed to assist
individuals meet their goals.
These services include:
- Residential Group Home Facilities which provide 24-hour personal care
and community living support services to consumers having a medical
necessity for a high level of daily care and supports.
- Community Living Supports which assist individuals with living independently
in the community in private homes or apartments by providing training and supports
in the areas of finances, medication and medical issues, socialization, and
activities of daily living.
- Respite Services which provide temporary relief to families caring for
developmentally disabled individuals at home.
- Community Integration and Socialization Opportunities which allow individuals
to be actively involved in the community and to increase relationships and social
skills.
- Vocational Supports which provide training and skill building for individuals
who have a goal of employment.
- Specialty Support Services such as nursing, psychology, and occupational therapy
can assist an individual to maintain or improve functioning in activities of daily
living.
- Case Management/Supports Coordination Services – to assist in planning,
monitoring, linking and coordinating of services to assist individuals in managing
symptoms related to a developmental disability so they can continue to live in the
community.
